Best place to stay in San Ignacio
Great food and staff, with cute cabanas for rooms and a great view. Also amazing front desk for organising everything that you want to do and see during your stay.
Had cockroaches in our room, which was a cabana. Was understandable given the nature of the room and the staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating, making sure to relocate us to another room immediately.

Nice for the area, great views.
The food was great but expensive for the area. Great views. Pools were nice but the water needed to be cleaned and the ladder in the deep pool needs to be repaired as it only has one step that is a safety hazard.
We had an influx of roaches that were everywhere in our room.

Comfortable but lacking wifi
The staff were incredibly nice and helpful. They were knowledgeable of the local area and history and had many ideas for things to do in time off.
The WiFi does not reach the rooms. This was frustrating as it meant I had to bring my computer to the common/dining areas to get work done. The TVs are also WiFi-dependent so while there was a television in my room it was merely wall art.

What was the highlight of Cahal Pech Village Resort
Overall fantastic stay and highly recommend. They also book any tour you could want.
Although the location was out of town a bit, it is still walkable to town if you’re willing to climb the mega hill back to the hotel, the view above town is incredible and it’s right next to a Mayan site. Staff was great, food was great, loved our cabin, and pools were awesome.
The A/C was quite weak and I’m not an A/C person. It was May and in the 100s so the room cooled off, but still pretty warm for sleeping. Learned to keep fan off and that helped. Staff did not reinforce quiet hours and a group kept us up partying at the pool until almost 2am one night despite me yelling at them.
